So far this summer has been packed with family and fun. We were so lucky that both of our families wanted to travel to Washington to see us. (Hooray for no airplane flights!)

The first reunion was for the Sorensen side and we met in Sandpoint, Idaho on July 13th. Todd requested (for his pre-mission trip) a week of boating with the family- what a guy! We stayed (well, most of us anyway) in a beautiful condo overlooking lake Pend Oreille. We enjoyed 5 glorious days of surfing, swimming and playing. The weather was perfect and the lake temp around 72. We enjoyed yummy food and some serious playing at City Beach- sand volleyball, tennis, basketball, horseshoes, and Bocci. The condo complex had a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub
right next to the lake and Emma spent most of her time there. It was hard to drag her on to the boat everyday and I don't think she got in the lake once! But she had a blast swimming with everyone and exhibiting her "Humu-humu" skills.
Of course, when you get 12 people together, funny things happen. Thanks to Shaun for the tour of the Eagle-less sanctuary, to Shannon and Jordan for the Thriller dance on the bow of the boat, to Jordan for the birthday bunny sighting, to Suzy for the family picture, to Emma for "I like to Move It, Move It" dancing, and to Scott for the wave. We also celebrated Emma's 4th birthday while every
one was together- she loved all the attention and the Kung Fu Panda cake.
