You know how the cobbler's kids never have shoes and the restaurateur never likes to go out to eat? Well we do boats and it seems like we never have time to boat. But we try really hard to go at least once a summer. This summer we spent the first few days of August at Bear Lake with our friends the Sampsons.
The weather was perfectly hot and the lake an inviting 72 degrees. It was like jumping into a giant bottle of Scope. So refreshing!
We enjoyed three days of swimming, tubing, playing on the beach, cruising, eating raspberry shakes and just having fun. (That's Mike tearin it up on the surfboard in the background.)

Emma has become somewhat of a chicken lately when it comes to trying new stuff. She refused to ride on the tube or even jump off the swim deck. Shaun finally told her about the legendary "sweet water' to get her to try the water. After learning it wasn't too frigid, she had a blast jumping off the bow with Aidan.
It was so nice of Mike's parents to let us stay in their condo. It was the perfect space for the 8 of us. The kids loved playing together (especially on the bunk beds) and it was fun to enjoy the evenings together with good food and friends.

We L.O.V.E. vacationing with you! The boat was awesome, the food great, but being with friends the best.
PS I can't believe you posted that picture of me surfing? We are friends, right?
Wow! It looks like such a fun trip - the pictures of the kids eating cereal are my favorite! We miss you!
